For a long three day weekend as well as Memma and Pop's 40th Wedding Anniversary (celebrated typical Morgan style - aka nothing), we drove up to Wichita. Drives sure were easier when you slept more. We got up super early hoping you would fall asleep and stay asleep. Wrong! Why shouldn't babies be wide awake at 5 in the AM and stay that way... and happy most of the ride. Of course, it helps when Mommy is driving and depends on Daddy to keep you occupied. Other way around on the ride back - Mommy feels the need to keep you occupied while Daddy just lets you fuss if needed.
We pulled up in the driveway, you pointed right at Pop, and started going "poppoppoppoppop". Only to get shy the minute they got in the car, of course. But you warmed up pretty quick.
And managed to get into everything. We walked into the bedroom to find you computing - got up there yourself and everything. You pay way too much attention to everything we do! Then the fam came over that evening for hamburgers and homemade ice cream. Notice who is in the center getting all the attention?
The best part happened right before this picture when you plopped yourself down on the stool next to Uncle Paul ready to eat his ice cream... but he wouldn't share. You were more than content though to take his sunglasses and make everyone try them on. Always really good at making sure everyone gets a turn - from participating in pretend drinking your juice to taking everyone their shoes.
And PopPop, who is supposed to be recovering from his shoulder surgery, managed to pick you up only a couple of times. Definitely good enough though to take his big girl for a ride in her wagon.
And then onto exploring the lawn mower - which you crawled into yourself, of course.
Trying on Pop's shoes... A little harder than Mommy and Daddy's flipflops which you are getting better at.
We went over Saturday for a swim at Aunt Bobbie's. Every toy in the pool had to be held by you at the same time. And when you did get out, everything that wasn't in the pool was helped in by your little hands. Pool time really works better for all these old people - they can hold you without pain.
Wierd little child... and yes, you got up there on your own.
Playing chicken foot - you were such a good "helper"... A good excuse to lose anyway.
Pigtails for church where you were the little princess... Everyone loves to see you that's for sure. Shame you don't look at all like they remember your mommy looking when she was your age :)
Lots of pictures not taken... Hailey following around your every move. You pouring OJ down yourself Saturday morning. Slipping on the concrete when Memma watered the plants. And lots of hugs... And no first fireworks cause it rained. And lets face it. You know your momma didn't want to wait up that late.
