Year and a Half Old!

Big girl! You are very selective with your books - which you now say "book". You prefer the ones with lots of pictures and words... not so much for the story ones. If a story, you had better like the pictures and minimal words. You have so many words! They just exploded over the last month or so.
You love your baby... lots of things are "babies" though. She has lost her initial appeal, but you still want her when you go to bed. Kiss her unprompted.

Practicing cheering with Daddy
Entertaining yourself... crawl up on to the couch alone, pretend night night.

You like to bring us books to read at night - Daddy is a little better at limiting your selection than Mommy. Current favorites have nursery rhymes and songs. You request "row row row" and get upset if you can't find the book. Or if we are not on the page you would like. Almost to the point of EIEIO... closer. Wheels on the bus - they taught you the signs at daycare.
You know lots of animal and other noises - including toy cars. The newest additions are meow (finally), neee (goat/horse), baa (sheep)... still favorite is quack quack.
Still refuse to eat veggies. Love fruits. Would turn into a cow if you could drink all the milk you wanted. Getting selective with which cup you get to use... will specifically point to the cup in the fridge you want. Like juices. Request water by name - they taught you the sign with a w to your mouth at daycare. Want to use silverware - preferring adult metal kind if available. "Spoon". You do pretty well actually and don't want any help. Request your bib at times. Drag out the carton of Cheerios if the pantry door is open. That and anything else you find.
You pulled up my shirt to see my belly. One of your many body parts - we are running out of things to identify. The latest are eyebrow, back, shoulder... elbow still means arm. Pretty cute the other night when I was showing you a hairbow, and you kept pointing to your elbow.

Loving your "puppies" - live to give them hugs which Maggie tolerates better than Tobey. Put your head on them and cuddle.
Bought you some high heeled shoes to play with at a garage sale. You continue to love your shoes - sad that your favorite crocs are getting too small. A master at taking your shoes and socks off in the carseat. Dressing yourself has progressed to shirts and pants - you manage to pull your shirt down to your waist and walk around with a skirt. And like to practice putting your legs in your shorts - but don't want help pulling them up. Throw a fit actually. You don't want to wear your new crocs because you managed to write on the inside of them - don't want to put your feet on the scribbles. Hard to find little girl tennies with laces - you the only one who needs them?
Playing with Daddy. I believe you were playing with the phone. As always. Which you now hold with your shoulder like grown-ups.
You are very hairy, and your Mommy doesn't have enough patience to try to trim them! Nor you enough patience to leave anything in your hair. Unless it's your hat which you like to wear - only if you can put on the "cuckle" - aka strap/buckle.
Loving your "craycors" although your favorite part is putting them in and out of the box. Don't really like those toddler crayons with the grips. You were recently given markers at daycare which are just so messy. Still love to sit at the computer desk and color - "eyes" means "lets draw circles and turn them into eyes and then faces."
You are sure at an amazing age! Trying to soak it up and not be too nostalgic knowing your time as an only child (and your entire outlook on life) is about to end. Keep love pointing out those babies!
