Life on the Beach

Most days of our week in Florida, we walked to the beach - we, our chairs, towels, umbrellas, toys, snacks... and the kayak.  The house was about a block from the beach so it wasn't too bad.  With Cooper's tummy bug and being in charge of a then six week old, this mommy had a good excuse to stay at the house several times.

Cooper had lots of fun playing in the sand, moving it from pile to pile.  This was his first real beach experience as he was too young to remember his last Florida trip.  And it's a good thing we had all those daddies and uncles there to play in the sand and get completely buried.  We ladies actually got confused as to who was the real kid as the grown up boys sure seemed very particular about their sand castles.

Reason #324 to rent a house: having someone else be responsible for getting all the sand off the floor that your kids bring home on their clothes!

Baby Girl was pretty easy going during our trip - apart from the hours of screaming on the way to Florida; complete peace on the way home.  Even slept all the way through the night several times in Florida - good and tired.
