First Fishing Trip

Midway through the week, one day fishing licenses were purchased and fishing was in store for the day. We drove down the highway from my parent's campground to a lake off the road to fish - Dad liked watching the cars as they rumbled by...  Lasted for several hours - some fish, not much.  I need to learn patience obviously.  Granted, that is easier without a fussy baby who wanted to leave.
The sunglasses have ended their stay - they now have the potential to be toys...  So cute though!
The pro can just sense the fish :)
Meghan's first encounter with a fish - unlike her mommy, she wanted to touch it!
Yes, I did catch two trout.  Even put the bait on the hook myself - it wasn't/hadn't been alive so was willing.  I'll cut someone open, shove my hand in places others wouldn't, but will not touch a worm or fish. Ick!
She had such a hard day, a nap was an essential - note the eeyore ears on her hooded jacket
Memma was on baby duty - until it was time to switch and let her show her fishing skills
That's how you do it!
Seriously, why do we live in Texas?
Yeah! Let's go home! I need to get down and move!  Her cheeks got a little raw on that blanket and stayed that way until we got home.  She wouldn't be her mom's kid if he cheeks weren't chapped and smeared with Vaseline.
Greg's contribution - caught a shrimp or something.   That weird little tan thing on his hook... Some would just call it bait - but he's sensitive so let's not point out to him that he got beaten by a girl! Two of them actually. And my dad...
