5 1/2 Months

We do like to nibble on our toes... slobber all over those things!

I have no doubt the next post will be of crawling....  she's just recently in the last few days pulling up on her arm and legs (belly off the floor) and doing the rocking thing!  And almost sitting up all the way.  She actually can do a little sit up and pull herself up given enough reason to do so.  Until then, lots of laying on the floor and entertaining herself with all her toys.  She's very good at playing with herself although she does look around for Mommy and Daddy every once in awhile - and not so patiently want some attention.Meghan's become quite the cuddler.  Since daycare broke her of the paci, we're still trying to figure out the best method to get her to go to sleep.  Bottles sometimes.  Paci really not at all.  Sometimes throws an out-right hissy fit, and we don't know how to calm her.  But she does actually sleep on your shoulder and cuddle for extended lengths of time - which she never did before.  Gotta cuddle while she's still willing, right?  Thankfully, stranger anxiety has yet to kick in... maybe she'll just never enter that stage!
We're still struggling with a snotty little nose - Mommy gets a sick pleasure out of wiping off the dried boogies and baby sure does not!  Typical baby who wants dried snot on her face.  Not really too sick though so that's good... just snotty.
Baby girl does decide to start talking - especially if she's being ignored.  Usually happy and smiles up at you.  Very happy baby!  Still not sleeping consistently through the night - some are better than others for sure.
See our two little teeth - although she sure doesn't look too happy for Nanny to pry her mouth open so we can see them.  Still not wanting food... stubborn kid I think.  This weekend we put her in her chair at the dinner table and let her play in her chair while we ate.  Maybe slowly this can show her high chairs don't necessarily mean screaming fits and mean people shoving food in her mouth.  Gradual?  She'll eventually have to eat or she'll look funny going to kindergarten with her bottle.  One of the books I have said to start her on a sippy cup even this young - any thoughts on that?
Like her Daddy, a la nude is still her preferred way to live life!

Daddy makes us laugh a lot!  He (and Tracy) swear she knows how to give kisses and pulls in your face to her.  Even puckers... I have yet to see it or recognize when she's doing it to me, but they seem convinced.

I started both kids on sippy cups at 6 mo. with water. Then with Caleb I actually weened him from breast to sippy cup at 10 mo. and it worked great! Both of mine enjoy carrying around the sippy cups with water and taking a swig ;-). I recomend handled cups at first. Good luck with the food...unfortunately it doesn't get much better...they are always going to be picky! Luke is 2 this week and he still has his screaming fits in the high chair!

oh yeah, and Meghan is looking so adorable! I just wish I could see her (and you of course) in person! It's been so long!
